Genzyme (GENZ) acquired by Sanofi (SNY) for $20.1 billion

  • In 2010, Genzyme was the world’s third-largest biotechnology company which employed more than 11,000 people around the world.
  • On February 16, 2011, Sanofi declared the full acquisition of Genzyme for $20.1 billion.
